EVENTS
Senior Citizens Council annual fundraising events are widely recognized in the thriving communities of Tuckahoe and Bronxville.
Our members participate in a multitude of ways, always generously volunteering their time, energy and resources, ensuring the success of each event.
Each year we send a letter to our friends, supporters, and the wider community soliciting financial support to continue our mission. This is our major fundraising initiative and we are grateful for the generous support we receive.

The International Council on Active Aging began the first Active Aging Week in 2003.
This week is meant to celebrate how positive the process of aging can truly be.
Active Aging Week encourages adults over the age of 50 to take advantage of all that life has to offer.
The goal of this week is to promote wellness initiatives and to get bodies up and moving.
Active Aging Week
is October 3-9, 2022
Thanksgiving Dinner
Baskets

Imagine this....it's Monday before Thanksgiving - when most other people are busying themselves with lists, shopping, stressing, baking pies,
and planning for their own family holiday, Senior Citizen Council members will be found doing something quite different...they shop, plan, and create Individual Thanksgiving Dinner Baskets, which are then delivered to needy families in our community. It's a huge production, and with all basket contents donated by Senior Citizen Council members, truly a labor of love.

June 15, 2022: The Senior Citizens Council is happy to congratulate Jim Hoch as the winner of a free parking space in Bronxville village for one year!
The SCC's annual parking space raffle fundraiser took place this year between March and the end of May. Raffle tickets were sold by mail, and street sales were back this year for 3 weekends in May. The winning ticket was chosen by Mayor Mary Marvin after the 100th Memorial Day parade on May 30th in front of the flags and veterans' plaques on the Village Hall lawn.
All ticket proceeds benefit the Senior Citizens Council.
